We hold meetings and interviews with the candidate Chinese construction companies in our Shanghai office, located in the tallest building in China. This is where we qualify the right candidates to perform the duties required by our valued clients. Candidate companies which reach this stage have passed our scrutiny and due diligence: they have qualified themselves financially and, through their track record, proven their professionalism and ability to deliver project objectives.

 Expert due diligence

  • GUM qualifies the perfect candidates to perform projects offered mostly by government bodies from all over the world. Our due diligence is stringent, carried out with a keen awareness of the market landscape and practices in China. We scrutinize the potential participants on aspects ranging from POF, to BG which they can fulfil, to their engineering team, and ensure the chosen candidates possess proficiency in all expected areas.

 Evaluating project owners

  • We carry out feasibility studies on the project owners: Understanding their various requirements; making sure their projects are truly profitable after satisfying all needs of the entities involved; and securing payment channels and their sovereign guarantees.

 Standard protocols to protect all parties

  • All payouts are pegged with bank instruments such as: Advance Payment Bonds for deposit to be collected prior to job commencement; Performance Bonds assuring our clients that projects are progressing smoothly and to expectations; and Payment Bonds ensuring that our contractors are paid promptly by clients. It is our policy to properly organize these instruments prior to the execution of projects anywhere in the world.

 Contracts and sovereign guarantees
